You will need a BT phone line (or other non-cable line) and a compatible computer. *The connection will be provided at the fastest speed available on the line, the speed being dependent on the distance and the quality of the copper between the permisis and the Bt exchange. Please be aware that all the higher speed products are rate adaptive, therefore upload and download speeds will vary, 288kbit/s - 8Mbit/s - downstream, and 64kbit/s - 448kbit/s - upstream. Although most exchanges will be upgraded to the higher speed capibility from 31 March 2006 this is a rollout program over a number of months.
